The Race
Two race distances are available:
Sprint:500m Swim, 15k Bike and 5k Run.
Full: 1000m Swim, 30k Bike and 10k Run.
This is an off road event - the swim will take place in the sea and the bike and run will both be off road.
Race HQ will be located at the visitor centre/ski slope.
Registration: The sprint race will be kicking off at 11am, with the full distance at 2.30. Registration will be open on Saturday from noon until 8pm and on Sunday from 7.30am to 1pm.
Briefing: A full pre race briefing will take place on Sunday at 10.30am. Attendance is compulsary for all competitors.

Facilities & Camping
Pembrey Country Park is a very well equipped location. Camping (for tents and motor homes/caravans) is available on site. Bookings can be made directly with us. Please contact us at [email protected] or through our contact page to confirm price and availability and to book.There are showers available on a campsite adjoining the park which will be available to those staying on site.

There is also a modern visitor centre on site which is fully equipped with toilets,a small shop and cafe serving hot and cold food. Other facilities and activities include a dry ski slope, children's play areas, nature walks, a motorsports facility and a model railway, details of which can be found on the park's website.

Courses, Rules & Kit
The event will be run according to British Triathlon rules and regulations.
Swim: 500m (sprint) and 1000m (full distance) in the sea. Wetsuit is compulsary as the Welsh weather in summer can still be a little chilly.
Bike: 15km (sprint) and 30km (full distance) mountain bike course, consisting of two/four loops. The course will include forest based single track sections. A helmet is compulsary and competitors are responsible for ensuring that their bike is mechanically sound and suitable for off road riding.
Run: 5km (sprint) and 10km (full distance) off road run. The course will be a mixture of tarmac, sand dunes and beach sections. Competitors are responsible for ensuring that they have suitable clothing and footwear.
One golden rule: Please do not drop litter, use the bins provided, as we don't want to spoil this beautiful park.
Safety: In accordance with British Triathlon rules, the organiser will ensure that the course is fully marshalled (with technical sections marked with relevant markings), the swim will be monitored by lifeguards both on and off the water, and full first aid will be provided on site.
